3 Weeks Off and What to Show for It?

Yep, 2 weeks of vacation, 1 weekend of recovery and finally time to get back to the project! What was it we were doing again?

Ah, yes, that's right the "master suite" - aka the weird unfinished room at the end of the hall.

So we started off with one easy project: a little painting. The newly exposed beam at the far end of the room needed to be painted to match the other beam, as well as the other beam needed to be touched-up and part of that was also newly exposed and needing paint. Also, above the window never received any paint.

And also, one hard project: putting a hole in a lovely arc-shaped tile. A lovely arc-shaped tile, I might add, that took a long time to craft into just the right shape and much patience to set correctly to be level with the top of the tub. One tile that if broken would be a real, real bummer to replace.

Luckily, it went through without a hitch! It took about a dozen drill holes and some shaving by hand, but it came out pretty well as you can see below. The tile was undamaged and I could stop holding my breath.
