Sills

Months after the windows go in, we finally trim them up right.

Windows need sills. And now our windows have them. Ah. Those of you who have read our blog before know that we like to do things the hard way. That is, custom molding for everything. Window sill and molding above & below window were all cut from the same lovely piece of fine-grain cedar.

Apologies on the picture quality lately - I've been lazy and using my i-phone. While it's been raining Persians & Beagles all day, when we finally finished up the window and I went to snap a photo, the sun came out and that blinded the poor little iphone camera. And, since the sills are just up and final coat of varnish is drying, there is no trimmings on the window such as curtains or blinds to draw... that be next!
