So far, the casualties in this project have been minimal. It is not unusual for well-meaning renovation to accidentally put a hole in an innocent by-standing wall. I mean, we are moving large pieces of lumber and pipes and fixtures around, wielding hand-held power tools, and working in very confined spaces.
I feel quite fortunate that the casualties so far have been limited to a saw blade (top 2 photos) and a couple gouges out of the wood ceiling (lowest ceiling).
Fear not: the blade has been replaced. And the ceiling has been patched.
Although I do worry it is likely there will be more ceiling damage in the future. We have not removed all the remaining bits and pieces hanging from the ceiling and it could be very tricky to do so.
Oh, I did not mention several drill bits which have, heh, bit the dust, if you will.
