The new windows had to be sanded and varnished. (blogger seems unwilling to upload photos right now, so you'll have to wait to see 'em) Similar to the doors. 3 times is the charm. What a pain. But my they look good now. We stained up the ones for the other bedrooms, too, so they would be stronger and less likely to get dinged up and lose their shape before installation. And who knows how long off that could be?
Starting to feel the crunch now. It's mid-July. Family descends on us at the end of August. Not much time left and we are away this weekend. Will we get the bathroom completed? Will we call in the calvary? Will we need to put all our relatives up in a hotel? Will we need to be in a hotel when we screw up the plumbing! We've been working on the plumbing - primarily the plumbing for the awesome shower - but have not yet tapped into the house water.
The tub and toilet are scheduled for delivery on Wednesday. I can hardly wait!
