Lights, Paint... Action!

Or more like action to get the paint done and then the lights put up...

This weekend we finished up the walls - no more bare drywall! Everything is a lovely green hue now. And the hallway wall is a bright yellow (not pictured).

After the paint dried, we could finally put up some lights in the
rooms. These are small rooms, but they are going from 0 lights (pre-remodel - there were no integrated lights in any of the bedrooms) to 3 lights each. Pictured on the right is the primary light - a wall sconce. This one is installed on a dimmer switch, as well.

We installed all the switches and outlet covers, too, so it really looks like a room now!

We installed accent (mood) lighting in the style of the rest of the house - above the beams
over the windows (pictured below). These provide a cozy, low level light for evenings.

The third light (not pictured) is a functional fluorescent light in the closet.

What's next? Molding!! We need door molding and baseboard molding. We have already started making the door molding. Hopefully we can get that up next weekend. And then we can start on the floor molding.
